I had hoped to use the game to prove to him that a dual Lash/Obliterator army wasn't strong, though it did become apparent very early on that that was not the case.
In fairness, it may be a strong list, but it seems very fragile too, and had a few of the dice rolls gone in Mart's favour instead of mine and the end result would have been very different.
To his credit, Mart battled onwards to the end, and I pushed him as hard as I could, which was strange as we normally have a very relaxed attitude to gaming, but he needed to know how much he could come back by the end of the game, and so I didn't let up and allowed him no mercy, and in the end, he still lost by a fair margin, but not by as much as it would have been had the game finished a turn earlier.
Plus his army was prettier than mine.
But anyway, I think I’ll use this list at the next GT – it may struggle against certain opponents, but it puts the fear of the Chaos Gods in to them too!
The list is:
1500 Pts - Chaos Marines RosterI think that I shall be aiming for the Spring GT with this list, so not as much time as I would hope, but still enough I think.

Whilst writing, I suppose that I ought to say something about the Hull's Angels Welcome Home Tournament I attended last week. It was a two-day Tournament with WFB on the Saturday and 40k on the Sunday. Each day had three games. In essence, I thoroughly embarrassed myself with my results! What was supposed to be a strong WoC list only won a single game, and my super hitty Lord didn't seem to want to hit anyone!
The Dark Angels list was a lot more of a balanced (read: poor) list, and didn't win a single game. One of those losses was against an 11 year old. Laugh it up, everyone else is!
Despite this I had an enjoyable time, and particularly enjoyed gaming against John on the Saturday and Jim on the Sunday!
Sam and Ben did much better however, with Ben winning the WFB Tournament and Sam winning best painted army for his Dwarfs in the WFB tournament and then winning the 40k Tournament.
I'm looking forward to their next tournament; I have a wooden spoon to defend!
In the next few days, I hope to draw together the newest additions of my Warriors of Chaos army which I hope Louise shall be painting up for me in the near future in preparation to get them to at least 3,000 pts for the 2011 Battlefields!
Oh, and finally, back to Mart and his Orks; if you haven’t seen his army yet, check out his Blog!
